After watching the few Voltron shows that I have been able to track down, I began to study Prince Lotor's personality. I admit that I also learned a lot from cruising around the web and by reading other people's stories who know the show far better than me.
It's really no surprise that I like Lotor. I am always drawn by the villain and I find, strangely, some sort of affinity with Lotor. I have to yet obsess over a blonde living next door, but I can dispense with that. I do envy the fact that he's got a battlecruiser, however. I don't even have a lousy Hummer.
In my warped universe, Lotor goes two ways: he is either the spoiled-brat Prince of Doom or he's the victimized Prince of Doom. Either way, he follows all his usual patterns: loves Allura, wants to conquer everything, loves comfort and wealth, can drink more than any Scotsman who ever lived and thinks mainly about sex. However, I also decided that whatever turn he takes, he has one side that was never explored in the series, and gave him an engineering degree. I also tend to make him a little soft-hearted just to shake Keith's equilibrium - gotta keep that boy on his toes.
Here be Prince Lotor's Hall of Shame... Well, it's a biography on the bad guys of the show. Mostly, it's based off my own insanity. I don't know all that much and I'm too lazy to actually study the shows. Do not consider these bios as true! It's for my own amusement and almost a way for me to set my parametres when I write my fics. Don't take this seriously. This is my personal interpretation and WEP would either cry if they saw this or hand me a few bucks and tell me to leave the Voltron fandom and never come back.
I wonder how much they would give me.
