The (short) Story Behind Keith … 
… according to AK-47

This biography is a rough map for my personal fan fics. I usually end up conflicting with the time line/plot from the show because I honestly don’t remember it that well. The itty-bitty details will probably change in the future as I see fit.
Be warned, this is all very rough! 
(It’s a sad state of affairs in my head, I tell ya! My head’s about as messy as a lot of people figure Lance’s room would be.)

Age: 18.5 years (at the start of the show)
Place of Birth: Kyoto, Japan, Planet Earth
Education: Alliance Academy Canada, Toronto, Canada
Father: Rear Admiral Kogane Akira
Mother: General Alexandra Graham-Akira (this makes Space Marshal Graham his Uncle)
Siblings: Colonel Alexander Yoshimura Akira - Major Alexis Tabata Akira 
Significant Ancestors: General McArthur, Space Marshal Akira - Sector I*

            The youngest of three children, Keith was born into a military family. Growing up with a strict Japanese discipline, which strives for excellence and the competitive pressure of having two high honour siblings, groomed him into what he is now.
            Keith is of Japanese, British, Canadian and American descent. His father is half Japanese, half Canadian and his mother of American/British descent.
            He entered the Academy at the age of four, the youngest to do so, until Pidge beat him by entering a year younger, three years later. He entered Command School at the age of fifteen, and graduated, with High Honours a year later also being the youngest to do so.
            He acquired his first command, the Alliance Expedition transport ship after that. (There will probably be a fic about this at some point.) Among his first crew were Jr. Lieutenant Lance Richard and Lieutenant Sven. During the two years he commanded the Expedition, Jr. Lieutenant Hunk Harper and Ensign Pidge Dewar had joined on.
            His first command ended when a Drule ship attacked the Expedition during a routine transport from the Cygnus 5 Science Station to Earth. The crew barely survived the attack (fan fic coming soon!) and returned to Earth for re-assignment.
            The special mission of finding Voltron was offered to Keith immediately after his return from Cygnus 5. The council, excluding his uncle (for ethical purposes), had fairly decided that Keith and his team were best suited for the mission.

            The pilot of Black Lion is the youngest member of the Alliance to be offered the position of Admiral.

            And as you should all be able to judge, by his ancestry, commanding is in his blood.

*I figure he had a great grandfather or something in the pre-Alliance days, where the galaxy was still divided.

            I’ve divided the Alliance into two separate groups, Space and Ground. For Example: Any army ranks I’ve designated for Ground/Planetary Forces, and Naval ranks for Space. 

            And this is as much as I use for my fics. The rest: his parents’ and siblings’ personality and status (alive or dead), changes with each story. And as for him being offered the position of Admiral, that depends on which fan-fic of mine or KK60’s you read. I have mini-bios for most of the other characters click here if you’re interested.
