Ghosts of updates past, present and future...

I'm Yog, hear me roar

I bring you updates, so read this frame.

Updates 16 05 2006

It has been too long, but it's ... well, not done. It seems that I've run into some internal difficulties. Or my computer has anyway. How a 520M 3.2G P4 can complain about lack of memory while opening a Microsoft Word file is quite beyond me. It's time KK60 go out and drop the 4 to 5 grand and get a Mac. The world will be perfect then ... right along with the Hummer.

AHEM.

For second news, I still have several pieces of art work to upload but I can't get Photoshop 7 to run. I don't like 5. I don't like other programs suggested to me. Besides, this is something that must be solved, not band-aided.

I did, however, added two fictions by Kyence which can be found in the Archive and finally put in the results for the fan fiction poll. I'm not sure when the art work stuff will be finally updated, but I do promise that it's all coming.

Finally, for any who wants to see it again, or wants to share in the PLUCK lunacy, I've created a comic based on a personality quiz I took in Kyence's site, which sparkled a debate in the list.

With all of this sad, I shall take my miserable self back to bed ... who would ever thought that a flu would hurt so much?

Updates 22 04 2006

Can it really be possible that I've updated again?

Strangely enough, the answer is yes.

There is quite a bit happening, a lot of it which will require time to complete, but slowly things are unfolding. the PLUCK list is currently voting for the main page layout. To have a peek at Page v5.3 click here. If you feel like giving me your opinion, email me.

The art work page is also undergoing renovations. I started from the bottom because ... because I'm weird. Let's keep it simple, shall we?

I'm also proud to say that PLUCK will be hosting many new pics and fics by new authors/artists. A thank you to Cheezey, Purrsia and Aimee30. There will also be some new stuff by Tam & HiroEB.

This said, I return to the world of coding.

Happy Easter

T'is April and Spring is in the air. I hear the cardinals in the backyard trilling "nosleepnosleepnosleep" early in the morn as the sun peeks o'er the horizon and stabs me right in the eye through the only crack in my sealed window. The hedge along the perimeter of the house is black with assorted fowl that sing discordantly while the smell of dog and cat (my room mates) become more obvious with the warmer days.

I miss Winter. I miss the death-like quality of the season.

Now for what is relevant ... Updates. Lots and lots of them. Well, not really, but it sounds more interesting this way.  I have been sent the complete parts of Chains by Patty, four fictions and two pieces of artwork by HiroEB and a picture by Purrsia. I have also put up the entire "Status Quo" fiction by Kyence. It's in *.pdf format, but it looks very nice. (Please note that it's one solid file). There's a fiction by Tamysan "Little Royals" and another by Ebon Drake "Dream Woman". Also, I found an old card given PLUCK by Moira. I would like to cordially thank all submissions. PLUCK lives because of you.

On other news, the second round of voting, fan art, is completed in the Voltron Fandom groups. You can see the results here. The next round is up and running and it's for the fan-fiction category. I believe that's the last round of voting. Click here for the list of nominations. Click here to join the Voltron Fandom.

Updates 03 04 2006

This is just a note to inform everyone that the first round of vote has been concluded and winners have been chosen for the Website category. Check out the link to view the results. Also, round two is now on, and it's to nominate artists. Yes, it's worth it. Go there. Go now. I wouldn't lie to you. I wouldn't lead you wrong. There have been too many threats. I've learned my lesson.

I've chosen Yog to document updates. Yog is my alter-ego and whom I wish to be when I grow up. One can never go wrong with so many tentacles. It's a blessing, really.

On another news, I have new fics and fanart coming soon. Trust me, it's worth the wait. Really. I'm not lying ... point that bazooka the other way. Those things are dangerous.

Updates 26 03 2006

Behold ... New updates abounds. I have changed the page to facilitate navigation. Frames or no frames? You choose. I've come to the realisation that not everyone's got my set up. I'm so selfish...

Most of the links should be working. I hope they're working. They better be working. If they aren't, shoot me an email and let me know.

Last but not least ... There's still time to join and vote in the Voltron Fandom Awards. Click here for a list of categories.

Updates 18 03 2006

The site is, thankfully, going at full steam. It's amazing how much cob webs collect over things if they are neglected...

On that note, I'll simply say that most links (90%) are working. I won't say all at this point ... that would be brave and those who know me are aware that I'm too lazy to have actually checked each and every link...

‡‡‡‡ Voltron Fandom Awards ‡‡‡‡

What's this? Well a fan list created by Purrsia and co-moderated with HiroEB, Cheesey and Kyence!. They have done a tremendous amount of work in recognising entertainment work produced by Voltron fans all over the net. Voting is currently in progress, but it's not too late to have your say in the nominations. The nominations themselves are closed, but there will another award ceremony next year.

For details, here's a list of the nominations. For more information, just hit the handy-dandy button underneath.

Hope to see you there, and if you're already there, good luck if you've been nominated!

Updates 15 03 2006

Hello and welcome to A Prince and a Gentleman.

What is this page about? Truly, I'm about as clueless as the next one. Mostly this is a place where many things come together. For many years, actually only about five, but what the heck, PL&CK has existed. It's had many looks, phases and it even died for the better part of 2005 (actually, it might have been late 2004 until now, but I honestly don't remember). I would blame the server and a fried computer, but I won't. I'll blame myself. I'm lazy.

PL&CK  was a mad idea AK and I had back in 2001 in a trip to Vancouver. We sat outside res on a picnic bench, wrote stories about Keith and Lotor and wondered what it would be like to have a Voltron site and a mailing list. We got back to Toronto and we started the process. We were shy and had no friends, so, for the rest of 2001 the list sat there doing nothing. It wasn't until February 2002 that we got daring and invited everyone.

Strangely or surprisingly, everyone came. It was a great way to meet new and interesting people, to see new fics, artwork and different opinions regarding the characters and the show. Despite being something based off a cartoon, I can safely say that we've all explored many different things with online 'friends' because we were brought together originally because of Voltron.

I admit, after so many years, I've written myself dry of Voltron fic. My last epic drained me of ideas and I've moved on to the original universe of Voltron RPG. Same world, your own characters and plots, good people to write with ... life is good.

So what's to expect in A Prince and a Gentleman this time around?

Absolutely nothing. The Archive, my personal pride and joy is back with collaborations from fantastic authors from around the web and the globe. It's up right now, but quite buggy. The links will be pretty much all dead. Yes, I know they are ... I'll fix it ... eventually ... now put the gun away and leave my backyard.

The art gallery will be making an appearance as well. I cannot imagine neglecting that.

Ask Coba might return, not sure ... Coba wasn't too popular. Or people were afraid of asking him/her/it/WTF? questions. I have a cat. I would be too.

Adoptions? Heck, why not? I liked the artwork.

Updates? Probably not. I update too often or not enough and generally I send it to the Yahoo! Groups. Or maybe I'll add updates here. Who knows. I'm fickle.

The Lotor Doll will be displayed here, of course. It's my honour to have been given such by Zejan and Spubba. Honestly, I worship them every Tuesday evening. For a full worship schedule of all the brilliant artists/writers out there, you can email me. I am the Kardinal of the Church of Voltron Ltd. I'm a non-profit organisation and tax refundable.

There will also be links, but I can't decide on a design. I think I'll just go back to old CDs, find Nephillim's (the Master Machine's name for any who don't already know that) old back up files. Or it might still be kicking around my slave drive; faithful Helel ... it's all just a matter of looking. Have I stated I'm lazy?

And, no, I still haven't learned html, Java, or anything else for that matter. I'm still using MS FrontPage XP. As for codes ... I can't tell you how I figure them out or otherwise people would find me and beat me. I don't want to move. Not yet anyway. If you feel I'm copying you, you're probably right. But that's my way to say that your site rocks and I want to grow up to be just like you.

I've added tons of things to this and not a single details about Voltron. It's pretty sad how distracted I am. I blame my father. He dropped me when I was a baby.

On a last note, I wish everyone to know that this page reflects another one of my creation. In this case I ripped myself off, but I've forgiven me. I can be nice sometimes.

I hope you enjoy your travel through these pages (whenever the rest arrive anyway) and find things interesting. Email me a line if you have anything to say.
