Background:

Fleisch, like all others of its race, does not possess a determined gender. Such is randomly selected by nature at the time of mating. The females carry an egg for four months in a gestation period, which then hatches after another two months of incubation. The young is considered a mammal despite being born from an egg. Little study has been conducted, but it is believed that since no member of the species is a specific gender and the metamorphosis is so sudden, the uterus never fully develop and thus a young cannot be carried for its full six months until birth. Though they breast feed, their physiology is more reptilian than mammalian. Some believe that they might be the lost link to Demos; though how they came to live in the Milky Way and Demos in the Denubian Galaxy defies all logic explanations.

The beings from Brackh’thh are not Psionic, but they possess a link amidst themselves. What one learns all others know. They have no leaders, tribes or clans. Brackh’thh is a planet with floating islands over an ocean that never meets land. The vegetation on those islands is lush, green and thin. It never rains and it is always sunny. The plants strive in the ocean evaporation and then condensation. The ocean’s water is supplied from underground springs formed from chemical discharges of highly active elements within the core of the planet. The beings live off the plants’ moisture and the animals that share their environment. Most are carnivores.

There is no technology on Brackh’thh. Travelling is conducted by the creatures diving off the floating islands into the ocean and swimming to the next one. Those who cannot jump high enough to reach the ‘root’ of the island, and climb up, generally drown.

Fleisch was one of the few that was drawn away from its native archipelago and swam through the great ocean into unknown destinations. It survived well off the living beings in the water until it finally came across something it had never seen.

The ship was big, though not one of the biggest human expedition transports. It had landed to study this oasis the exploring team had located in this arm of the Milky Way. Fleisch, like all of its race, was a chameleon. It watched the humans for a few moments before its serpentine body began to shape itself slowly, unconsciously, to mimic the alien forms. Still, the xenokind could never become fully human, and the shimmering, humanoid being approached the ship out of sheer curiosity.

Fleisch was taken immediately by the crew and after travelling back to Earth, it disliked the humans but was glad for the exposure it was having. It could speak Standard fluently as well as two other languages spoken by doctors tending it.

On Earth, the tall and strong human with the rippling face was taken by the GOTA immediately. Its stay with this faction, however, was brief and Fleisch found itself before the Master Knight and training to be one of the most feared and dangerous Pieces of the Alliance Knights Club.

After several successful assignments, Fleisch was finally Deployed to seek and find a weak link in the Galvesh. It found Gretchen Impruss and it decided that she would eventually lead it to Mauld Impruss, the true power driving the Galvesh empire. This proved successful, only Fleisch was enthralled by the woman. It is now sworn to protect her against anything.
