Brotherhood of Assassins

Consists of three main groups: The Alliance Knights Club, The Dark Alliance Parliament of Rooks, The Outer Rim Territories Monastery of Bishops.

This is the oath on which all other laws and codes are formed within each segment.

“Semper fideles fraternus” (always faithful to the brother)

The Code of the Brotherhood

Article One: Semper fideles fraternus. Your loyalty must lie with this club and the Brotherhood first. This loyalty is above any others.

Article Two: Any matter in regards to the Brotherhood is not to be spoken publicly. If the need arises, a code will be used: Chess lingo can be employed as it is universal.

Two i: No Brother shall speak of the Club except in terms of a brotherhood or club to any person(s) outside the brotherhood. Any Brother found breaking the vow of secrecy will immediately be terminated and the person(s) to whom the information had been disclosed will be re-programmed or terminated depending on which is most convenient.

Article Three: Any Brother who is captured must immediately terminate themselves at the soonest opportunity. Any Brother willingly captured and giving information will be banished and terminated as soon as possible.

Article Four: No Brother may employ their chosen method against a person that is not a target, unless in self-defence (no cold blooded killing/vendettas, etc.)

Article Five: Each Brother carries their personal set of weapons/poisons (Knights generally use short range swords/daggers. Bishops have Claws. Rooks utilise double-headed battle axe swords. Poisons mixed contain an inert agent which is distinct for each brother so that, through toxicology reports, credit is given where due.

Five i. If a person is found using another Knight’s pieces in an unauthorised manner, that individual will be terminated. If other Knight willingly allowed the use of pieces by another party, said individual will also be terminated.

Article Six: Any Knight/Bishop/Rook who endangers the brotherhood will be terminated immediately.

Article Seven: No Knight shall willingly exchange their political secrets to another sect of the brotherhood. The Knights serve the interests of the brotherhood and the Alliance. Likewise, the Parliament of Rooks serve the interests of the brotherhood and the Dark Alliance. The Monastery of Bishops is the only neutral party, serving the interests of themselves, and the brotherhood. They can be deployed by both Alliance and Dark Ring alike. The exchange of political secrets is against the interest or well being of the Brotherhood. We are not spies, only facilitators in Political Evolution.

Article Eight: A Knight/Bishop/Rook may be retired within his natural lifetime on the discretion of the Master Knight/Abbot/Prime Minister. Generally, a chess piece is presented as a symbolic gesture that the Knight/Bishop/Rook is now in control of their own destiny; i.e. they can no longer be assigned missions.
